Front garden with paver path, cycad and frangipani

Garden design

We start with your home and your wishes. After a site visit we create a design with a layout, a planting plan and materials, so you know in advance what the garden will look like and what it costs.

What we do

  • Site visit and measurements
  • Layout of paths, patio and borders
  • Planting plan for sun and shade
  • Choice of materials and price estimate
Good to knowIn Curaçao the sun shapes the design. We check where the afternoon sun falls and where the trade wind blows, so every plant ends up in the right spot.

Garden construction

We carry out the design with our own team. We prepare the ground, lay borders and gravel areas, place natural stone and deliver everything neat and finished.

What we do

  • Levelling and improving the soil
  • Borders in natural or coral stone
  • Gravel, chippings and weed fabric
  • Artificial grass installation
Good to knowSoil in Curaçao is often hard and chalky. Good soil improvement helps new plants establish much faster.

What we do

  • Shaping hedges and shrubs
  • Keeping bougainvillea in shape
  • Cleaning palms, including coconut palms
  • Removing green waste
Good to knowCoconuts and dead fronds can fall in strong wind. Cleaning palms in time prevents damage.

New paver path through a gravel garden

Paving

A good path or patio makes a garden usable. We lay paver paths, patios, driveways and stepping stones on a solid base, so nothing sinks.

What we do

  • Paver paths and driveways
  • Patios and pool surrounds
  • Stepping stones in gravel
  • Edging and drainage
Good to knowDuring a tropical downpour the water has to go somewhere. We always lay paving with a slight slope.

  • Bougainvillea, oleander and frangipani
  • Agaves, Madagascar palms and cacti
  • Planting holes with improved soil

Irrigation

Drip irrigation delivers water right at the roots. A timer switches it on early in the morning. That saves water, time and money, and your plants grow better.

What we do

  • Installing drip lines
  • Timer and watering zones
  • Repairing leaks and blockages
  • Extending the system for new plants
Good to knowWatering early in the morning keeps most of it from evaporating in the afternoon sun.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is your question not listed? Send us a WhatsApp or fill in the form.

Ask your question
Which areas do you cover?

We work all over Curaçao, from Westpunt to Oostpunt.

Is the first visit free?

Yes. We visit without obligation to look at the garden and discuss your wishes. After that you receive a quote.

What does a new garden cost?

That depends on the size, materials and plants. After the first visit you get a tailored quote, with no surprises later.

How long does construction take?

A small front garden is often done within a few days. A large villa garden can take a few weeks. The quote includes a schedule.

Which plants do well in Curaçao?

Plants that handle sun, wind and drought, such as bougainvillea, oleander, frangipani, agave, Madagascar palm, cycad and various palms.

Do I need irrigation?

For most gardens we recommend drip irrigation. It waters right at the roots and runs on a timer, so you do not have to think about it.

Can you maintain my garden while I am off the island?

Yes. For holiday villas and rental homes we agree fixed days and keep you updated via WhatsApp.

Do you take the green waste away?

Yes. We remove pruning waste, weeds and other green waste after the job.
